イギリス80年代後半に流通したものと推定される
「FREE STYLE SPORTS」というブランドのプルオーバーです。

生地はPERTEXが開発した
AQUA BLOCというシェルです。

70年代後半に綿織物やパラシュート用ナイロン素材を作っていた
イギリスのメーカー・Perseverance Mills社によって
開発された素材がPERTEXです。

その軽さとしなやかさ
優れた速乾性に注目した英国の登山家ラブ・キャリントンは
PERTEXを使用したシュラフとダウンジャケットを製作。

これをきっかけにPERTEXは
一気にアウトドア素材として普及したという背景があります。

このアイテムに使用された「AQUA BLOC」は
現在でもほとんど見かけなくなりましたが
防水性の高いアウトドアギア向け素材です。

柔らかいゴム引きのような2層構造で
生地はとてもしなやかです。

胸あたりで切り替えのあるハーフジップタイプで
比翼はベルクロで留める仕様になっています。

左脇側には隠しポケットがあり便利。

珍しいデザインだと思います。

身頃下部の裾はドローコード
袖口はゴムがひかれており
防水防風のスペックを高めています。

袖はラグラン切り替えとなっており
シルエットが今の気分にフィットします。

ストリート、スケートファッションにちょうど良い雰囲気と
米国古着にないナードでスマートな雰囲気があり気に入っています。

後ろ身頃に3mmほどの小さな穴がございますが
ほとんど目立ちません。

防水機能を持っていることから残念ではありますが
ファッション的な目線ではそれでも価値は十分あると判断しております。

This is a pullover of the brand "FREE STYLE SPORTS", presumed to have been distributed in the late 80's in England.

The fabric is a shell called AQUA BLOC developed by PERTEX.

PERTEX was developed in the late 70's by Perseverance Mills, a British manufacturer of cotton fabrics and nylon materials for parachutes.

British mountaineer Rab Carrington, who paid attention to its lightness, suppleness, and excellent quick-drying properties, produced a sleeping bag and down jacket made of PERTEX.

This led to the widespread use of PERTEX as an outdoor material.

AQUA BLOC" used for this item is a highly waterproof material for outdoor gear, although it is rarely seen even today.

It is made of two layers of soft rubberized material, and the fabric is very supple.

It is a half-zip type with a seam at the chest area and a Velcro closure on the wing.

There is a hidden pocket on the left side for convenience.

It is an unusual design.

The hem of the lower part of the body has a drawcord and the cuffs are elasticized to enhance the waterproof and windproof specifications.
