フルートや縦笛、尺八などの楽器メーカー
「Jinchuan」のバッグになります。
形状から管楽器を持ち運ぶために作られたものだと思われます。
白と黒の市松模様に魅力を感じピックしました。
素材表記はありませんが
合繊のキャンバス生地を表にもライナーにも使用した
堅牢な作りをしています。
3辺でファスナー開閉する仕様で
持ち運びに便利なショルダーストラップが付属します。

起源説には諸説あるようです。
アメリカ中西部の開拓史時代
人々の催事として行われる乗馬ダービーと食事にて
そのレースの終わりを知らせる為に
大きな布地を振って知らせるのが良いと考えた人が
食卓に敷くテーブルクロスで振って知らせていたそうです。
そのテーブルクロスの柄が市松模様だった為
これが現在のチェッカーフラッグの起源だとするのが一説です。
もう1つの起源説は
19世紀のフランスにおける自転車レースだと言われています。
多くの群集の中
レースを行う競技者が黒と白などのコントラストの高い
目立つものを表示することで視界にそれが映り
レースの終了を知らせるには効果的であったという説です。
最古の写真記録は1906年にニューヨークのロングアイランドで行われた
ヴァンダービルトカップレースであり
当時の様子の中にこの柄のフラッグが写真として収められているそうです。
このような歴史深い柄は1世紀以上経過した今でも受け継がれています。
当時の目的とは異なったり
拡張を見せていることもまた魅力の一つ。
